This is how we celebrate families.

From the creation of man, a family is the only thing humankind has and the foundation of our love, freedom and safe haven.

Family is home rooted by not only blood but is anyone from anywhere, race, religion, tribe, culture that gives you solace, hope, support and can be made any day by being human.

Family is immeasurable joy, love, safety, abode, sustenance for a baby.

Family is trust for that teenager and young person who after all mistakes gets trust, nurture, guidance, correction, shoulder and hope.

Family is those who we meet by faith, circumstances that took chances on us, believed in is, gave us a hand, help us when in need, smile to us genuinely, have our interest at heart before we ask for it. They stand by us when no one trusts us, believed in us but never let go of that ray of hope they see in us.

Families do not judge us but point us to our shortcomings. They continue to believe in us without borders.

Family is who we share dreams and aspirations and can be made in a day rather than by birth or extension of lineage.

Family is who we choose to see through us, trust to give our heart, hope, allow to see through our eyes and we do same for, family is who we choose to share forever with. Family is who we live with and grow old together.

Family is a bond made without counting the cost of returns. Family is who shares charity with us, for us and to us. Those who had a quota to play in our lives.

Do not be despair with some challenges you have with them, if you can work it out, please do. Even when they cannot say it but their actions shows deep concerns for us.

We will have the biggest of fights with them, oh well, who else would we rather do it?

Families can be made home and abroad, found in any tiny, hidden or huge place devoid of differences in race, colour, religion, tribe, ethnicity, class, wealth, and politics but by the act of kindness and love.

We have lost some and gained some and will continue to do in our journey to find a beautiful place and time to rest.

Reach out to your heart and soul, contact those families that you can reach and appreciate the simple things of life that you are grateful for because of them. Even if it is a SMILE.
